Without fear of contradiction I can say that 2010 WILL be a significant year for Ludlow Elim Christian Fellowship. As I write this newsletter (well before Christmas!!) I am already aware that we are very close to being able to announce that our building will soon be up for sale. Thank you so much to those of you that have already given generously towards this aim. Sadly, of course, even the action of selling our building is just the beginning! We will have lots of fund raising to do, clearing out to accomplish & ultimately a move into new premises that will be fraught with stress and difficulty as we seek to prepare a building that can be used to engage with a sceptical community & demonstrate the grace of God in practical ways.

Of course this is what we are about..... winning the lost & discipling the saved! To do it, we must be loving & full of grace to folks who have not known much of that in their lives to date. Jesus is our inspiration in this. The Apostle John records that the Messiah was “full of grace and truth.” And toward the end of the New Testament, his contemporary, Peter exhorts us all to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ. Have you experienced the grace of God in your life? Are you growing in that grace? Grace is passed on from the overflow of our own hearts. That’s why we must be passionately in love with Jesus, before we can share with others!

Yes! We will feed folks, clothe them, visit them, help with their every day tasks & maintenance issues just to win their confidence so that we can speak of grace to them. Philip Yancey says: Grace is the only thing that the church has that makes it unique from any other organisation. Of course, YOU are the church! I believe this year will be significant if we ALL grow in grace, are you prepared for that? I am!
